I read an article today titled 20 Self-Care Practices to add to your Routine. The article provided good tips and practices. Some of them I do myself, but I still felt the urge to create another list of self-care practices. The list that I’m creating is for people that do not perform self-care and just need to start somewhere. Well, here you go.
Tip #1- Breathe
Take a seat, close your eyes, and take deep breaths. Allow yourself 10, 15 or even 20 minutes of uninterrupted time to sit and ponder on nothing but the rhythm that your breathing makes. The most important thing is to get comfortable and breathe in through your nose and let your belly fill with air. Then breathe out through your nose. Simple right? This simple act can be highly beneficial for your physical and mental health. So, let’s make it a routine to just…breathe.
